Just an ordinary day downtown. Lot’s of people going by and lots of smoke coming from the flaming hot center of the earth. The white smoke came through those metal holes where the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live. I didn’t spot any turtle, though.

Downtown, where people meet and walk by…

Porto

Porto on a winter afternoon. I wish all winter could be like this – no rain, no cold.

I read the news today, oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph

Jackie left on a cold, dark night
Telling me he’d be home,
He sailed the sea for a hundred years
And left me all alone

And I remember the day
That the young man came
He said “Your Jackie’s gone
He’s lost in the rain”
And I ran to the beach
And laid me down

jackie02

“You’re all wrong”, I said
As they stared to the sand,
“That man knows the seas
Like the back of his hand,
He’ll be back sometime
Laughing at you”

I’ve been waiting all this time,
For my man to come
Take his hand in mine
And lead me away to unseen shores

I’ve been washing the sand
With my salty tears
Searching the shores these long years
And I walked the sea forevermore
‘Till I find my Jackie oooh

Still cold like the stars

Time slips away
And the light begins to fade
And everything is quiet now
Feeling is gone
And the picture disappears
And everything is cold now
The dream had to end
The wish never came true
And the girl
Starts to sing

Seventeen seconds
A measure of life

Let me be the one who shines with you
And we can slide away

London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls

These graveyard shift series, as I call them are an old passion of mine. You can call me a weirdo for hanging around graveyards taking pictures of graves and statues but I don’t mind. I don’t care much for death, I just like how these kind of places project themselves into my lens. These photos were all shot at Agramonte, Porto.

For all the photography curious geeks out there, these pictures were shot with my old Canon FT QL analogue – 400 ISO.agramonte01_750px

Industrial Matosinhos by night. Now, is that gold or wothless wood chips?

It’s amazing what you can find in the heart of a city like Porto.

Am I the only one that doesn’t really care about the flu and thinks everyone is overreacting and that the media is having a big role in spreading the panic? People have always died from the flu every year. So give me a break when I sneeze… By the way, I sneezed 3 times yesterday. Oooooh

Anyway, this is all you’ll hear about social or political problems in this blog, ever.

I shot this one yesterday when I was coming out of the hospital. gripe
No, I don’t have the flu… yet.
